The Kolor-Lok™ file folder system was originally designed to work with first and last names as its primary indexes, but it can be easily customized to utilize its unique color-coded system with other identifiers like personal account and phone numbers. Kolor-Lok™ file folders are sturdy. 14-point, 185 base weight manila folders will hold up to heavy use in the busiest office filing system. Kolor-Lok™ office filing folders last longer than similar looking 11-point folders. Our folders have reinforced edges and end tabs that provide strength and durability where it is needed most. All Kolor-Lok™ folders can be customized to further improve the efficiency of locating file contents.

Studies show that humans can recognize color in 1/1000 of a second. Kolor-Lok™ leverages your natural ability to recognize color. It is more efficient than alphabetic or numeric office filing. To file in the Kolor-Lok™ System, you only need to remember two things:

  • Colored folders represent a person’s first name

This is the magnet that we supply. It contains the last name alpha breakdown. This magnet is typically placed on the shelving unit for quick reference.
The Kolor-Lok™ system enables you to quickly look within one small subset – eliminating the majority of your file folders within seconds. Scanning this small subset is twice as fast as searching alphabetically or numerically. Re-filing is considerably faster as well; just replace your file folders in the front of the appropriate alpha and color section.
Easily Filter Inactive Office Files
By replacing your folders in front of their section, your most used files will naturally gravitate towards the front. You can further differentiate office folder usage by applying a year label to show either when a folder was created or when it was last used.
Avoid Misfiles and Lost Records
You can quickly scan your entire section of office files and look for misfiled records.
